We are now in a time where it is difficult for many to imagine a day without mobile. The first thing to do when you wake up is to look at your mobile phone while eating, and if you have some free time, go to Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok or any other app. Even when sleeping at night and how does it feel if the mobile is not next to us. In fact, we do not even realize when mobile and internet have taken a lot of place in our daily life.

Using mobile or internet is not bad. These have made our work a lot easier. But the problem is when we start spending more time in front of the screen than necessary. Then there is less time for oneself, it is not difficult to maintain concentration, sleep problems can occur and a habit of checking the phone all the time is formed. This is where the digital divide comes in.

What exactly is the digital breakSimply put, a digital break is a period of time where the use of mobile computers, tablets, social media, and other digital devices is reduced or stopped for a period of time. But it does not mean to throw away the mobile completely. Our work study communication many things now depend on phone brother internet. So it is not possible to completely turn off all digital things for everyone. The key to a digital break is to get some control over your use. Understanding when the phone is needed and when the phone is just out of habit. Many times we unlock the phone without any reason. Then I see a notification from there a video then another video. In this way, you don’t even notice that half an hour passes by holding the phone for five minutes.

Why do you need to take a digital break? The first problem that occurs when using the phone all the time is the loss of attention. Even if you sit down to work, you don’t want to focus on your work if you look at your phone repeatedly. It becomes a habit to see if there is a message or if there is a new video or if someone is posting something.Another thing is sleep. Using the phone for a long time, especially after going to bed at night, can delay sleep. Many spend a lot of night checking social media before going to bed. It is difficult to wake up the next morning. Excessive use of social media can sometimes make one’s mind unsettled. Looking at other people’s pictures of life or different types of posts, you start comparing your own life for no reason. So it’s not bad to take a break now and then. Rather, it can be very useful to understand where your time is going.

How to start a digital break? Many people decide on the first day of starting a digital break that they will not use their phone for 24 hours from today. But in reality it becomes difficult for most people. So it’s better to start small. First fix yourself a time. Suppose you don’t use your phone for an hour before going to bed at night. This one hour may feel a little uncomfortable at first. Because so far this was the habit of using the phone. But after a few days you will see that it becomes much easier.

Reduce notifications a bitThere are so many apps on our phones that notifications are not really useful. Still the notifications keep coming. We pick up the phone after seeing a notification. So you can friend the apps that do not need notifications. No need to turn off all notifications. Can keep notifications of calls or essential messages. Just reduce the ones that force you to look at your phone repeatedly.

Even though food is in front of many people, their eyes are on the phone. It becomes a habit to watch YouTube or Facebook. You can try not to use the phone at least one meal a day. If you are with family, talk to them. Eat quietly when alone. Even if it seems like a small change, it creates a habit of spending time with yourself.

Don’t look at your phone when you wake up in the morning If the first thing after waking up is to look at the phone, then the day is starting with the screen.Try not to look at your phone for some time after waking up. You can start the day by washing your face, drinking water, taking a short walk or fixing your daily tasks. At first, you may feel like looking at the phone again and again. But after some time this habit will also decrease.

All in all, a digital detox isn’t really about turning off your phone, Facebook or the internet completely. Nowadays it is very difficult to go without a mobile phone. It is needed for work, it is needed for studying, and many times the phone has to be picked up due to necessity. The problem is when you keep checking your phone repeatedly even if you don’t need to and a lot of time passes without your knowledge.

So there is no need to make big rules at the very beginning. Keep the phone away from you for some time during the day. For example, not looking at the phone while eating, not using the phone for a while before going to sleep, or not picking up the phone when you wake up in the morning. The first few days may feel a little uncomfortable, because once you get used to it, it feels strange to be without your phone.

but if you change your habits little by little, it becomes easier. At that time, you can talk to someone in the family, take a walk outside, read a book or do something that you like to do.The most important thing is that the use of the phone should not control our time. phone we will use,But when to use and for how long we decide ourselves. A digital detox can be started with just one small change.
